Chia Strawberry Jam

Share:

An abundance of strawberries is one of summer’s greatest pleasures. This past week, I ended up with four pints… while I tried to keep up eating them fresh (is there any better way?) I had still had half of them left by the weekend.

Enter jam.

While the traditional method can be a bit daunting, here’s a quick way to make jam in minutes!

Ingredients

1.5 cups of chopped strawberries (about 1/2 inch pieces)

1 Tbsp chia seeds

1 Tbsp maple syrup

Directions

1. In a medium bowl, mash strawberries with potato masher or fork.

2. Stir in chia seeds and maple syrup.

3. Cover and refrigerate at least 30 minutes.

(optional)

4. Spread liberally on banana bread (how did I not think of this combo sooner?)

5. Have a tea party.

  1. I’ve been wanting to make a chia seed jam! I’m a little bit obsessed with chia seeds and this seems much easier than other jam recipes. Love this!
